This picture shows a dead butterfly. Mullerian mimicry describes a situation where two or more species have very similar warning or aposematic signals and both share genuine anti-predation attributes. The monarch butterfly is in the Müllerian complex with the Viceroy butterfly. They both share the same coloration patterns and display behavior.
