Mackenzie Gooden









 This is a picture of Lichen. Lichen is a type of fungus that grows on trees.


This is a Gymnosperm Leaf, it bears seeds on the outside.
This flower is an example of Adaption of a Plant. This flower has adapted to grow thorns to keep its predators like deer, birds, and more from eating it. This helps it to survive and grow.
This butterfly shows Bilateral Symmetry. Both halfs of the butterfly are identical.
This Pine cone is an example of a Gymnosperm Cone.
This ant is an animal with a segmented body. It has an head, thorax, abdomen, and jointed appendages.

Because of the different colored leafs on the branch this tree shows Genetic Variation within a population.

Grapes are example of Gibberellins. Gibberellens have hormones that regulate growth and influence different development processes.
This potatoe is a picture of a Rhizome. Rhizomes are horizontal stems of a plant and potatoes have rhizomes.
This is a picture of Copper being Territorial. When he was in his pin and he seen another dog he became very territorial meaning this was his territory and he didnt want any other male dog in it.
This bug has an Exoskeleton or an external covering for the body.
Lettuce is a Long Day Plant. It requires a long period of light each day to grow.
 
Hummingbirds are prime examples of Coevolution. Coevolution is the influence of closley associated species on eachother in their evolution. Hummingbirds have long beaks to eat from flowers that would be harder for short beaked birds to eat off of.
This is Seed dispersal from a tree. Seed dispersal is when it loses its seeds.
