Milk is an example of simple carbohydrates. Milk contains lactose. Lactose is a type of simple carbohydrates. Lactose intolerance is when the body can't easily digest lactose. Lactose is found in dairy products. People who are lactose intolerant can't consume much dairy products.

Pasta is known as complex carbohydrates. When digested, all carbohydrates become glucose. All types of pasta noodles are complex carbohydrates. All carbohydrates are fattening, but we need some carbs in our diets. Its also important to eat a variety of foods that don't contain carbohydrates to maintain a healthy diet.

These peanuts are an example of complex carbohydrates. All nuts are examples of complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates is a carbohydrate that consists of two or more monosaccharide units.

Pickles are an example of complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates aid in food digestion and keep energy levels even. The body breaks down carbohydrates to make glucose.
 

Sugar is an example of simple carbohydrates. Sugar is also known as sucrose. Simple carbohydrates are more fattening then complex. Sugar is often found in desserts and sodas. However, there are some sugar free products on the market, if you are trying to maintain a healthy weight.
